Gulab Jaman/ Condensed Milk Dessert

Condensed milk dessert submerged in caramel syrup for an hour or so. Made with natural flour, honey, clarified butter, and vinegar.

With caramel sauce

  1. Flour
  2. Natural Sugar/ honey
  3. Vanilla extract
  4. Baking soda
  5. Vinegar
  6. Desi ghee
  • Take 300 grams of khoya (highly condensed milk solid), add 5g of baking soda, 3g of salt, 5 ml of vinegar, 80 g of flour, 5ml vanilla extract, then mix and knead for around 5-8 minutes, until a smooth dough is realized.
  • Then cover and refrigerate for around 10 minutes.

Deep Fry

Next, make small spheres out of it, and deep fry them in clarified butter (ghee) or extra virgin olive oil and gently stir; wait until golden brown and take them out and place it in the warm caramel bath/ sugar syrup for an hour or so.

Making Caramel/ Sugar syrup

In a pan placed on heat take 500ml of water, add 250 g of sugar (or honey), few slightly crushed cardamon, 5 ml of apple cider vinegar. Stir and bring it to a boil and let it thicken; then turn off the heat once done.
